The Rhade people have an island origin and have been present in Central Vietnam for a long time. Their developed crafts include bamboo and rattan weaving, cotton growing, and primitive weaving. Rhade women wear long skirts that reach their heels, and in the summer they go shirtless or wear short pullovers. Men wear loincloths and pullovers. Both men and women have the custom of filing their teeth, stretching their ears, and blackening their teeth.
