The Khang people grow sticky rice as their main food crop. They weave baskets and make dugout canoes. The Khang people often exchange cotton for Thai fabrics and clothes. The traditional costumes of the two ethnic groups are therefore quite similar. Khang women wear indigo-dyed scarves, with thread or woolen tassels attached at both ends. The Pieu scarves are also used by the Khang people, with designs similar to those of the Thai people but with slightly different patterns.
