The M'Nong have long lived in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam. They grow rice as their main food crop. Bamboo and rattan weaving, cotton growing and weaving are developed. Traditionally, M'Nong men and women are shirtless. Men wear loincloths, women wear skirts. There are three types of M'Nong loincloths: white loincloths for the poor, black loincloths for common people, and floral loincloths (black background fabric with silver or copper flowers and colorful beads) for the rich.
