The Rmam mainly grow sticky rice on the fields. They used to have a weaving profession but it has now disappeared. The Rmam men go shirtless and wear loincloths - usually white loincloths. They often have tattoos covering their backs, especially the elderly. Women often have long hair tied in a bun at the nape of the neck. They wear short-sleeved shirts with straight shoulders and straight bodies. The shirts are usually light-colored, with red necklines and sleeves. The skirts are white cotton, with red decorative patterns on the four edges.
