The Sedang mainly cultivate on swidden fields. The Mnâm group grows wet rice, the Ca Dong branch grows cinnamon, and the To Dra branch develops blacksmithing. All five groups have developed brocade weaving. The Sedang's costumes are mainly black and indigo. Traditionally, Sedang men wear loincloths on a normal day. On holidays, men wrap a piece of cloth around their bodies, like warriors going to battle. Sedang women wear sleeveless pullovers, wrap skirts, and shoulder scarves.
