The Ksingmul have long lived in the Northwest region of Vietnam. They are heavily influenced by Thai culture. Ksingmul women wear short shirts with open buttons in front of their chests. The buttons may have the shape of water bugs, spiders or cicadas. Their skirts are usually black or indigo, short and expose their calves. Basically, the Ksingmul dress is similar to the Black Thai, but the way they wear their headscarves is a little different.
